ON THE ROAD AGAIN!

I am coming to you tonight, live and in living color, from Athens, Georgia. Ernie decided late yesterday afternoon that we should leave for home today instead of next Monday, so at nine this morning we left Panama City for the north country. We are at a motel in Athens, and are stuffed from eating at the buffet across the street. I am really tired, and am looking forward to a good night's sleep. I hope.

The drive today was very pleasant. Good weather, good roads, and not too many crazy drivers. Except for this one kid, maybe 16 or 17, who was flying down the entrance ramp at top speed, and driving with his elbows as his hands were occupied with trying to dig a cigarette out of a pack or something. It took him about 30 seconds to be so far ahead of us that we couldn't see him, and we were going 70! He had a friend following him in a bright yellow truck, also at breakneck speeds. They did turn off at the first off ramp. Thank goodness, as I was afraid we'd come across them splattered all over the highway in front of us.

So, tomorrow we enter Tennessee, then Kentucky. I'll try for some pictures. Didn't get any today.

Night night. Sleep tight. Don't let the bed bugs bite!

OK, now I remember reading this one already on why you came home early. I was hoping I didn't miss anything bad that happened to cause the early return. Are you sure you really want to be in MN in March????
