Now that I went grocery shopping and my frig and cupboards are full again, let's talk about losing weight.
Before we left on our Florida trip, right after the Christmas cookies and all the snacks that go with the holidays, I had decided that it would be a good time to take off some weight. After all, I'd be in Florida, walking the beach, sightseeing, riding my bike, etc, so I'd be getting more exercise than I would have gotten back here in cold, snowy Minnesota. Plus: Plant City strawberries. Lots of fresh blueberries. Oranges. Exercise and fresh fruits, a good plan for shedding a few pounds.
And I am pleased to report that my plan worked! In spite of eating out too often, pancake and waffles on Saturday mornings, and the famous Tuesday night buffets, I lost weight.
One and a half pounds.

I had the same intentions when we left on this trip. I don't have a scale with me so I'll have to wait until I get home to see if there are any results. Some days I think there are by the way the jeans fit and other days I just kow there's not!! The problem in the desert is that the ground is so rough and rocky it's difficult to walk without turning an ankle.
One and a half pounds is a good start and you probably didn't even know you had lost it...good for you!
Good for you Marge. Without even trying that hard too. Wish we had all that fruit available fresh now!
Great for you!! Keep up the good work. I had lost about 17 pounds since last March and then have not been able to lose anymore (gained and lost a few here and there) so I decided to kick start it and joined Jenny Craig. Started last Tuesday and weighed in last night. 3.5 pounds in the first week. I am excited. I have 12.5 pounds more I want to lsoe before April 8th. Think I can do it? Wish me luck.
well that is great!!!! Because at least you didn't GAIN. I sure wish it would just fall off when we don't need it, know what I mean?
