FEEDING THE BIRDS

I took this out the dining room window through two panes of glass, but it shows clearly the gray skies and the feeding frenzy of the birds. With the blizzard warning in effect, I think the birds know their food will be buried tomorrow, so they'd best stuff themselves to overflowing today.

My birds were feeding hard and heavy this morning, but now they've gone off to hole-up while the winds rage and the snow buries us. Expecting sub-zero temps here tonight and more for the weekend. I'm sorry, but we'll likely pass it on to you next.

Have you seen the video on Youtube.com "Minnesotans 4 Global Warming?" It's funny.

Yes, Jody, I've seen that and I agree that it's funny! And there's a new one by M4GW called the Twelve Days of Global Warming. Also funny!

Snow tonight, wind and snow tomorrow, and then dropping temps on Sunday. Same as you, just a day or so later it sounds like.

Even birdies have to eat, huh? I hope the snow doesnt cause too much havoc with them.

We will have a beautiful day tomorrow as we did today. but come Sunday watch out, temps drop here too! Like a high of 22 I think. For us that is a pretty cold high! My birds are going crazy too. rmember the squirrels I have been feeding? Well they are getting so fat that when they run away from my dogs and try to get through the chain link fence....well they are having a hard time getting through the fence. Someone is going to lose a tail one of these days soon I fear!!

I am always amazed by nature and her instincts...it's nice that you provide the birds with a well-rounded meal before they burrow in away from the storm...I wonder where they go?
