EXCITING NEWS!
Tyndall AFB, Florida: I have exciting news! Hubby just booked a flight for Christmas time, so we'll fly not drive home. There wasn't a lot of difference between a three day, two night drive in a rented car and the flight price, so he opted for the extra time at home. I am excited! More time with the kids and grands, and less time driving on the freeways!

Linda, I think it's due to my whining. I miss my kids and grands so much that I think he figured he'd rather spend money than put up with my crying all the time! Whatever works, I'll do it! It's nice down here, but it's not home by any means, so I'm happy we get to fly home.
I'm so excited to hear you will be flying home. I miss you so much! It sounds like you have had a rough start to retirement but hopefully, it will all be behind you and retirement will be smooth sailing from here!
