GOTTA LOVE MINNESOTA!

Okay friends in California, Florida, Oklahoma, Arizona, Arkansas, and all other places south of us. Prepare for company.....soon! The temp when hubby walked this morning was SEVEN degrees, with wind making the "feel like" temps below zero. Winter has arrived. If it's going to be cold, then we should at least have the beauty of snow, you'd think. Guess I shouldn't complain. The long lost sun is at least shining this morning.

However, it doesn't seem right that the temperature where our son lives in Alaska, which is waaaaaaaay North of here, was 23 at 5:30 am. After all, we live in SOUTHERN Minnesota!

Almost makes you think you need to move to warmer Alaska huh??? Oh wait, I bet if you give it a few minutes and that will change. Isn't that funny how the temps work? Yes and we think it is terrible right now at 30 degrees. Well I better go feed the birds and the squirrels.

See? The farther north you go the warmer it gets (Global warming, you know). Here in northern MN we had 19 when I got up this morning at 6:00!! Stop over and bring your bikini (snicker).

Guess I forgot about global warming, Lena! But a bikini you don't want to see me in.......will jeans and a sweatshirt do?

And Lisa, I'm just about ready to head down to see your critters and birds in your back yard so I can share in those thirty degree temps!

In West Central Minnesota it was 12 by the time I ventured out. And, for the first day in a long time the wind was not an issue. In fact 12 today felt way better then the 27 of yesterday. However, it must have gotten quite cold. Our largest lake is completely covered in a thin layer of frosty ice. I wouldn't venture to walk on it yet, but it definitely looks like winter. And just yesterday there was hardly any ice.

Yuck!

WOW! That's cold. I'll quit complaining about our being in the 20's at night. And only the 50's in the day.

well come on over, there's plenty of room and we are still in the
70's during the day...that's temperature, otherwise we're probably still in the 80's. Ha!

Keep warm ~ :)
