Cue the music: Laura's Theme. Grab a fur blanket, and settle into the sleigh for a trip across Siberia. Well, actually it's only Anchorage, Alaska, but the fairyland reminds me of the movie, Dr. Zhivago.
Okay. We're back in civilization now, and you are warming your cold toes beside the fire. Have you ever seen anything like this? Some of the frost is over an inch thick, sticking to everything. It is absolutely the most beautiful sight I have ever seen.
We came to Alaska in the middle of the winter for a very sad reason, the death of my dear sister-in-law. But we spent time with our son Chris and his love Amy, we saw the awesomeness of Denali, and we were treated to this winter fairyland. God is good. God is very good.

Thanks for sharing them!
My mouth has been wide open the last week as I watched your beautiful pictures. God is good. All the time. Thanks for sharing his majesty.
Have safe travels home today! I'll pick you up at the shuttle drop off because my adoption support group meets in that area until right about the time you are scheduled to arrive. You're coming home to more snow...surprise!

LuAnn took my word...breathtaking!!
God is a great artist!
And he shows us that every day, doesn't He? I've never felt closer to Him than during our time up here in AK.
Hey, Barb! I am Dorothy's best pal from childhood and lurk your blog on a regular basis. I live up here in AK. Crazy small world, isn't it? ;)
I think it is great how you spend your time in retirement! Traveling and making new experiences. I know so many people that just sit around and watch TV but life has so much out there that the way you spend your final years is so important!! I hope that when I grow older I will continue living life to the fullest, traveling, and hopefully have a loving and large family to spend time with.
Keep doing what you do!!
