GOD BLESS THE USA

If tomorrow all the things were gone I’d worked for all my life,
And I had to start again with just my children and my wife.
I’d thank my lucky stars to be living here today,
‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom and they can’t take that away.

And I’m proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free.
And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me,
And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land
God bless the U.S.A.

From the lakes of Minnesota, to the hills of Tennessee,
across the plains of Texas, from sea to shining sea,
From Detroit down to Houston and New York to LA,
Well, there’s pride in every American heart, and it’s time to stand and say:

I’m proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free.
And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.
And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land
God bless the U.S.A.

God Bless The U.S.A. Words and Music by Lee Greenwood

Wishing my friends a fun and safe 4th of July. We need to pause and take time to count our blessings. We complain about the economy, the health care, the president and other elected officials, the price of gas, and numerous other things, but we need to remember that we are free! And, we are free to voice our opinions without fear of being shot for speaking out! Where else on earth would we have life this good? We are blessed to live in America. God bless the USA!

Last year at this time we were in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada and yes, we did see American flags and fireworks, and two years ago we were in Seldovia, Alaska for their unique 4th of July celebration. This year we are going to Kevin and Molly's, and will spend the weekend with grandsons Joe and Justin. We are taking our new little camper out for the first time, and are looking forward to parking in the their driveway. I'll post pictures on Monday.

My mom supervises a KOA (in her retirement)it keeps her busy and she loves meeting the campers. And she and my Stepfather love traveling in their travel trailor.

Oh I am so happy for you, that you can get away for just a little while and see YOUR family with a little break from the stress you have been under. Yes, we are free, thanks to so many people. There is no other place in the world I would want to live than right here in the good ole' USA. God has blessed America, I just wish the people would remember all He has done for us here. Seems we have gotten away from thanking Him for all He has done. One thing is..He has kept my nephew safe for the last several months while he is serving in the Army in Iraq. Thank you Will for your service, and thank you God for keeping him safe. Have a wonderful weekend.

May the higher power, whatever you may call it, bless planet Earth.....no exceptions. What affects one of us affects us all. We must all stand together or we will all fall together.
