PATHETIC BLOGGER

Yup, that's me.  The pathetic blogger.  I just can't get interested in anything long enough to blog about it.  It's not that I'm depressed or anything, I'm not.  I just haven't done anything exciting.  But!  Hold your horses!  We're going on a road trip on Friday and I just might find something to talk about.

We decided to take a trip to Grand Forks to see son Lenny, his wife Connie, and our grandson, Sammy.  We haven't seen them since last fall, so it's time!  We'll leave early Friday so we can arrive late in the afternoon and see them a bit, maybe over dinner, before we head to the Air Force Base where we have reserved a room.  Saturday, if the weather cooperates, maybe we can spend the day at a state park not too far from there and have a picnic and watch Sammy play.  Sunday we'll attend the church we attended when we were stationed there for eight years and we'll get to see some old friends.  Ernie also has an aunt that lives there, so hopefully we can visit with Dorothy, too.  We'll leave on Monday morning to come back.

I'm looking forward to our trip.  And I do know the location of a sweet little quilt shop in East Grand Forks!

We're going up there Sunday afternoon! Jessica's senior art show opens at the U on Monday evening, so we'll be at the reception there. Too bad you couldn't stay just one more day?

Lenny works at the U! Wouldn't that be funny if you ran into him! As far as we know, we're camp hosting at Monson Lake for the month of June. Hope you can visit!

Honk really loud and I'll make sure I wave. I'll be home all day on Friday working outside so I shouldn't have any trouble hearing you!!

We'll definitely visit you at Monson!! That's almost within walking distance! :) Have a nice trip to Grand Forks. We'll be celebrating Easter with Jess and Peter (hey, this is early -- last year it was JUNE!) Sunday night then getting hor d'ouevres ready for the reception on Monday. I'll look for Lenny on campus! What does he do there?

I meant celebrating CHRISTMAS with them, not Easter. And yes, it's still earlier than last year!

Brenda, he works in the housekeeping department. I don't know in what building but he works 11-7, overnights, so you'll probably not see him!

HI Marge....this is Barbie....Pat and Al's daughter. We were neighbors on GFAFB. Give a little nod to Teak Ave, if you drive by! :-)

Barbie, I will take a picture! I often see your comments on Kari's blog. Hug your mom for me!

Sounds like a pretty quick trip but a nice one at that. The weather is turning nippy here and we are hoping to get rain. Just laid about 1800 sq ft of sod (boy am I sore!) so we hope for the rain so we don't have to PAY for water! hahhah. Have a safe and fun journey!
