IT WAS A DARK AND STORMY NIGHT...........

Oh my goodness, was it ever!  The wind has been blowing non-stop for over 24 hours, gusting over 50 MPH.  And this morning we are blessed to have precip in the form of rain, sleet, and snow!  The Minneapolis airport has only one runway open, hundreds of flights have been canceled and delayed.  The northern part of the state has a blizzard warning and temperatures are dropping down here in the southern part where I live.  And just now across the bottom of the news program on the TV, they are announcing school closings!

Welcome to Minnesota people!  Our six month season of winter has begun.  And in two months I'm outta here.

I've been listening to the bad weather reports this morning across the country. Hope it gets better soon for you. Stay safe & warm!

And we lucked out - the snow went all around us but we didn't get more than a dusting. Whew!!

Which direction are you headed in two months? We still haven't decided if we're even going to go. May just hunker down at home and get some of the things done I don't get done in the summer - like some serious quilting!!

Jeanne, the winds are lessening some, but it's still blowing and the rain/sleet is still stinging. This too shall pass!

Lena, we've decided on Arizona. Probably Tucson for awhile, as we can stay in the campground at the AF base there. We also need to visit his brother and SIL in Phoenix. You coming that direction? You should! We'll not go until after the first of the year.

It's wonderful you can just leave all the winter behind and head for warmer climates. The Famcamps are always great!

Stay warm :)
